Unlocking the Quest: It's Cayde Time!

Right after wrapping up The Final Shape campaign and finishing the "Destined Heroes" quest from your Ghost, Cayde-6 hooks you up with the "Wild Card" quest. Head to the Lost City, chat with the legend himself, and launch the mission. No crazy modifiers or Power scaling here, so it's pretty chill! 😎

Wild Card Mission Walkthrough: Let's Get Sleuthing!

This mission is basically a fun adventure with Cayde and Crow, split into three parts:

  1. Investigate & Camp: Spawn in, hop on your Sparrow 🏍️, and zoom south. You'll find drained Screeb bodies. Scan those, clear out some Fallen patrols nearby, then Crow suggests setting up camp by a waterfall. Head to the marker, make camp, and meditate in the tent. Easy peasy!

  2. Find the Energy Signature: Next, Cayde sends you to a cave in the southeast corner of The Landing. You'll find dead Cabal. Plant a Rally Flag, summon a tough War Beast boss. Simple fight:

    • Damage it.

    • When it goes immune, jump into the glowing energy cylinders nearby.

    • Rinse and repeat until it's down!

    • Head back to camp.

  1. Taken Trouble! Uh-oh! 😱 Taken invaded during your meditation! You'll see Blights dotted around.

    • Clear the Taken around each Blight – destroying all Taken nearby automatically pops the Blight.

    • Take out all FOUR Blights.

    • Eliminate the Dread enemy leading the charge.

    • Back to camp you go!

  1. Draw Out the "Megashank": Cayde's got a lead on the big baddie who stole your Ether! Follow his waypoint, find a secret passage, and interact.

    • You get dropped into a sniper nest – tight space, perfect view! 👀

    • Equip a scout or sniper! Pick off all the Shanks you see in the arena below.

    • This lures out the Heavy Shank boss.

    • When it goes immune, destroy more Shank minions to break its shield.

    • Keep damaging it and clearing adds until it's scrap metal!

    • Return to camp (again!).

  1. Final Boss: Lil'Liks, Harvester of the Witness: 🕷️ The source of the Dark Ether? A nasty Scorn Abomination chilling in a cave in Transgression (marked on HUD).

    • Enter the cave (watch for DOZENS of Screebs!). AOE weapons are your friend here – trigger chain explosions!

    • Boss Fight Strategy:

      • Keep your distance! Seriously, avoid those Screebs.

      • Heavy Weapons FTW! Rockets or Grenade Launchers melt Lil'Liks.

      • At 1/3 health, it retreats and spawns MORE Screebs.

      • KILL the Screebs and grab the Dark Ether motes they drop.

      • Bank 10 motes in the Ether barrel nearby to start the next phase.

      • Repeat the mote dunking phase one more time (same process!).

      • Focus Screebs > Heavy on Boss > Dunk Motes. You got this!

After beating Lil'Liks and a final camp scene, head back to Cayde-6 in the Lost Tower. He hands over your shiny new Still Hunt! 🎉
